Simply put, this is the best game soundtrack of all time.

Very few video game franchises are truly as larger than life & legendary as Final Fantasy!!! Aside from the epic storylines, iconic cast of characters, mind-blowing settings & cutscenes, one of the big reasons why Final Fantasy is so beloved & successful is the phenomenal music!!! From the very first Final Fantasy game all the way to Final Fantasy XI (The series' first foray into MMO gaming), all music for the series was done by the one & only Nobuo Uematsu: The John Williams of video game music but for Final Fantasy Tactics, a unique & highly addictive spinoff game which, just like Dragon Age Origins, featured a plot & characters straight outta Game of Thrones, the franchise' parent company Square-Enix entrusted veteran game composers Hitoshi Sakimoto (Who did the entire score for Final Fantasy XII after Uematsu's departure from Square-Enix) & Masaharu Iwata with creating the score for Tactics & what they conjured is on equal ground with all of Uematsu's historic work on the central installments of the game series!!! There is a clear militaristic sound in many of the ost's tracks (Sakimoto also used a similar sound & approach for his work on Final Fantasy XII's ost) which fits 1 of the game's biggest storylines which is a chaotic civil war reminiscent of the real-life historical conflict known as The War of The Roses. Sakimoto & Iwata's score perfectly captures & enhances all the melanchony, suspense, mystery, intrigue, tragedy & adventure of the game's epic plot!!! Simply put this is one of the greatest musical scores to any video game ever which befits what is also one of the greatest video games period!!! This ost is definitely one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks ever & is easily on par with anything you hear from a big-time Hollywood blockbuster!!! A definite must-have :)

I'll just mention what I didn't like since everyone has already done the opposite. First off, there a a lot of tracks that are variations or include pieces of the main theme. This sometimes makes it seem like you're listening to a long track if you're not paying attention. The second issue is that the music is beggening to show its age, but it still has a orchestral feel to it. Overall, anyone who played the game will enjoy the music for quite some time.

This is without a doubt, overall, my favorite video game soundtrack.

Finally, it is here! One of the best video game scores ever composed. This really is a top-notch soundtrack, and regarded among video game enthusiasts as one of the best. Even among Final Fantasy soundtracks, this is at the top. Highly recommend!
