  • The Most Beautiful Version You'll Hear

I think this version is by far the most moving emotionally and should not be missed! The musicianship is incredible and Mehta's direction is flawless. Anyone not familiar with this piece would be mistaken not to think this is the version by which all others should be judged.

By far a not to be missed version of this spectacular piece. I've owned many many versions of the 9th; an educated musician, I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert on the piece. This version of the 9th is brilliant, quiet with intensity yet brilliant with jubilation. The musicianship is excellent, yet Mehta's sensitive and passionate conducting is what truly brings this piece to life. You could play any number of versions of the 9th to me, and any movement therein, I would identify which was this in a second. I would not hesitate in buying this version. Not for a second.
