I was in love with the movie's soundtrack but once I saw the original show with the original cast I bought this one too! Best decision I've made all day! Take that back, all week!
Songs are missing

There are songs missing from the original album- no original “Giants in the Sky”’ etc, for the version that I downloaded. This should be clearly stated in the album title - there was no way of me knowing this before I purchased it unless I had read the reviews first- and why would I read the reviews of an album I previously owned and loved?
Super bummed.

I’m just confused as to why this item was modified from the Original Broadway Cast Album and released as an inferior product than it was before. The fact that the witch’s first song and for that matter most of her material throughout is missing is reason enough NOT to release this version. Furthermore, I question the authenticity of the "Bonus" material. The songs are written "in the style of Stephen Sondheim" but it doesn’t sound exact enough to fool an avid and experienced Sondheim listener that they are actual Sondheim pieces. There is also the question of the singer in "Boom, Crunch" and why they tried to pass her off as Bernadette Peters. Again, so close to her sound but not close enough to fool an experienced Bernadette Peters listener. The "Giants In The Sky" version is also not a Sondheim original and lacks Sondheim’s flawless lyrics and musically leaves you wondering why it never takes off. I am very confused and feel it is not responsible to release this without disclaimers, especially for commercial profit.
BEST MUSICAL OF ALL TIME

I love Into the Woods so much. Stephen Sondheim is the definition of a musical genius. I listen to this soundtrack all the time. The cast is brilliant. The songs are so perfect I especially love Joanna Gleason and Chip Zien doing It Takes Two that song is so sweet. Some of the songs are just so deep I cry while listening to them (No One is Alone and No More). Bernadette Peters is my idol her portrayal of the witch was so spot on. This gives me goosebumps. You won't regret buying this. It's a musical masterpiece.

Everyone keeps posting that this is missing half of the songs when it isn't. Its only missing 3 or 4. A lot of the songs are combined to make just one track. Still, I wish it was the full soundtrack.

I love hearing the original cast, except they left out one of my favorite songs from the musical! "My Little World" is so cute and funny. I don't understand why it got left out! As many other reviewers said, why a partial album?

I've heard so many great things about "Into the Woods" and so when I had an opportunity to sing "Children Will Listen/ Finale" in a choir, I decided to watch it. I was pleasantly surprised and I really didn't have high expectations before watching it. Sondheim is definitely a brilliant composer! And once you get to the deeper levels of the musical, it's really powerful! Sondheim is once again brilliant.
