YAY! Youko Kanno!!

I'm so happy that iTunes got another good japanese composer on here! I love Joe Hisaishi and I saw Youko-san's name on the list of artists other people bought, so I checked it out! I do wish that iTunes would bring in some of Maaya Sakamoto's work with Youko-san though. Or just some of Maaya-chan. I have some that I bought from f.y.e and I love it!!! I also, though, like the idea of an international store. I checked out the japanese store and there's soooooo many songs that I want that are over there!!! On an ending note...Youko Kanno Rocks!
She was great in Bebop and she's done it again

Cowboy bebop was definitely one of my "gateway" anime's, but what really turned me on to it was the music. Kanno is simply amazing and I loved her collaborations with The Seatbelts. This music is much more soft and playful. Can't get enough of her.
By the way, I highly reccomend purchasing the soundtrack to Bebop (some jazz-style songs, but mainly just incredible songs!), it really shows the musical range of Yokko.

i first encountered Yoko Kanno through a cartoon. I was an avid fan of the cowboy bebop series, which featured her compositions. The music made the show and since then I have been following her work and have yet to be disappointed.

Yoko Kanno is one of my favorite composers and iTunes has put up some of her work. Here you can get eight songs at a really low price. I love her piano melodies and she never disappoints. Now all I can say is put up more more more!

These are very nice songs. I especially enjoy the piano of Ticklish Pleasure and Motion in a Minute, which echo some of Kanno's earliest work. Unfortunately, iTunes doesn't have the vast majority of Kanno's work - my guess is her soundtracks are tied up in licensing issues. If you like what you hear here, Google 'Yoko Kanno' to hear and purchase her very best work: her soundtracks.

I can't speak to this album specifically, but Yoko Kanno is one of the greatest modern composers of the 20th and 21st century! Too bad the song, "Tank" isn't included at iTunes! Hopefully the iTunes collection will expand to include more of the amazing variety of music she has written.

I am so extremely happy that iTunes has some music from Yoko Kanno [kanno youko]. She's definitely my favorite composer ever. Now if we could get some of her songs with Maaya Sakamoto, my happiness would be complete...
