I loved the debut album from Appendix Out, and then I heard a few songs from the sequels and from his solo albums, and they seemed kind of boring or not very pretty. I did not give them much of a chance, though. I had sort of written him off as one of those artists that only has a great first album, and then lost it.
Well I was wrong. Right away this record grabbed me. It's pretty, mellow, folky, and actually kind of upbeat for him. I love it. If you've never heard him before start with this one or with Appendix Out's "The Rye Bears A Poison" album. If you have heard him and thought you didn't like any of his newer albums, try this one! You will be glad you did.
