I have all these songs already, but LYFE doing it LIVE kills anything out there. If you have these songs, take it to the next level and get them live!!! I just bought them and I can't decide which one is my favorite yet, but I definitely agree that he brings more life to songs when he sings live!

Although I will admit that Lyfe's gravelly voice is not my favorite (I prefer smoother voices such as Brian McKnight, Joe, and Javier), this live EP definitely showcases one of the truest, most emotional singers in the industry today. Both of his albums are filled with songs dealing with real-world issues, and he manages to write in a way that many can understand and relate to.
I had the priviledge of seeing Lyfe perform at the House of Blues in San Diego last year, and I have to say that it was mesmerizing to see him live. While this EP obviously won't match that, it still brings out his raw emotion.
As for Sweetn'Sour's comment regarding Lyfe "stealing" 2Pac's song, it is actually a cover in tribute to 2Pac, which Lyfe explains on his album, The Phoenix.

He's the one of best R&B artists out there!!!! From his first album to his second. From you catching it live, to listening to it on a cd...WOW!! AMAZING! And it's refreshing to have R&B be...R&B. Not complicated with dance moves, or outfits. (Not that there's anything wrong with that) Just his voice and his guitar. Just to have an artist saying something real, about life and themselves, and to give it to the world! FANTASIC! And where he takes you with his lyrics... it's guaranteed that you've never been there before! He definitely doesn't get the props he deserves... too much talent for the world to not hear! PHINOMINAL!
