Just came across a patch that I got when I was on tour with with these peoples in 1991. "100% Fun - Matthew Sweet" The "Girlfriend" album is 100% fun. Their shows were 100% fun too. I think I have a friend that would like the patch. Maybe I'll give it to him today at his daughter's bday party. I didn't get her a gift.

I hardly need to defend purchasing Girlfriend. It is a timeless classic that takes you to the soaring highs of Girlfriend and Divine Intervention. Yet, it can still spiral down with Looking at The Sun and Don't Go. A definitely needed CD. Then, there is the (pre-iTunes) ultra rare "Good Friend" bonus CD which I searched for years before finding in a small CD shop in NYC. But, lucky for you, it is available at the click of a mouse now. It is a collection of some live cuts from the CD and other songs. Some are concert, some are radio performances. It has the strength of a legitimate release and the musical quality, too. The covers are Cortez by Neil Young, Isolation by John Lennon. The 3 demos are also very good. Just like the CD, it rocks. There are no B-side songs here. Any price for either CD would be a value, together, this can't be passed up.
