In July, 1991, a friend of mine went to Chicago to Lollapalooza. While in Chicago, he had been to a record store and one of the things he picked up for me was a 4 page newsletter from Metal Blade Records that had Armored Saint on the front page promoting their new Symbol of Salvation release. On the second page there was an article about a band called Cannibal Corpse that had just released an album called Butchered At Birth and on the third page was an article on a band named Panic. The article was talking about their debut album Epidemic which happened to be produced by The H Team. A couple of weeks later I went to a record store and bought Epidemic on cassette. I played the hell out of it but had to put it away when I didn't have anything to play the tape on anymore. Lucky for me, another friend of mine found it used on CD at a store a few years later. The day before I bought my iPod on 2008, I made sure to stop by my friends house and pick up his copy of Epidemic. Everything you could want in a thrash album and then some. On a side note. in 2009, I picked up their second album, Fact, at the same store my friend had bought Epidemic at.

The debut album Epidemic from Seattle's own Panic is a little gem for those who love a true mix of punk and thrash metal! Produced by Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt of Exodus, this album is hard hitting and has amazing guitar licks. Lead Vocalist, Jeff Braimes is definitely one of the best singers of any band I've listened to over the past 15 years. I've had the pleasure of not only owning this album since its initial release in June of 1991, but have also had the pleasure of seeing this band live many times. Be sure to check out the single "Blackfeather Shake",and their interstellar cover of Kiss' "I Stole Your Love."
