She came on the scene over a decade ago. It's safe to say that her song are classics. Not too thrilled about her new materials. But her older albums are timeless. I still listen on her on repeat. Her vocals back in the day was amazing. She is from SF. Blew up in Taiwan. Then few canto albums. Then her english album came out.

Coco Lee is Chinese pop star. She's family name is Lee, a Chinese word!
  • She is not Japanese!

The album review is very incorrect. CoCo Lee is a Chinese American that got her fame in Taiwan. She is not Japanese nor considered the "Japanese Madonna." The "Japanese Madonna" may be considered as Seiko Matsuda.

This album was my favorite in 2000. I got in while in Japan. Little did i know she wasn't from Japan and the album was out in USA, but not successful. I loved the complete collection, but now find my self only knowing 3/4 of them. Hope to find my old copy someday till then. Take a listen! She is like Jennifer Lopez/Aaliyah

This is a GREAT album and I just can't sit back when the tracks Do You Want My Love and Don't You Want My Love playing! And the others are not bad as well, be4 I Fall In Love is quite a beautiful song after all.Her voice is as beautiful as herself! But this is not coco's best I think.

very talented, extraordinary voice...oh yeah, she's also beautiful as well (duh!). one of these talented individuals who can actually sing different styles, and sound like it...not your usual mono-tone type of singer who sounds the same no matter the song or album.

Hey, I just discovered this album- its infectiously good because her voice and personality are really appealing- likeable. If you don't know her track on the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon soundtrack- A Love Before Time (vocal version), its worth checking out. Its the first song of her's that I came across. Its a hauntingly beautiful melody- how often does a pop song get written by a world class composer (Tan Dun) and of course Yo Yo Ma adding his genius talent on cello doesn't hurt either. The lyrics are a bit sappy- but it works here in the context of the style of film that this movie is. She nailed it and its heartbreakingly beautiful. I can't wait for more of Coco in English! It would be really great for her to go beyond dance stuff- she has more talent ability and potential than that.

Songs leading the album like"Do You Want My Love" are good to dance with. Lee' s voice is special for Americans and she's rarely excellent as an Asian pop singer.
