I'm not sure how I found this on itunes but I am so glad I did. I love piano music and this is so wonderful. I bought this album, and then I just had to buy the other album Mr. Bossenbroek had available on itunes too. I play them all the time and I felt like I just had to come back and write a review. There is so much emotion in his music and it flows from easy and slow, to powerful and fast with such a good balance. The samples on itunes really don't do his songs justice. They are so good. My favorite pieces on this album are The Calm Before, Spinning Nowhere, A song of Simplicity, and Please. Between this album and the other, I have so many favorites. I hope we see a new music from this talented artist soon.
  • I know why he hasn't hit it big yet

This is just a bunch of banging on the piano. There's no feeling or emotion in it. It's just the same repetitive drivel in different variations. There is too much good music out there and this is not even in the same ballpark. If you like good piano music, try Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass, or better yet....MOZART!

I first heard A Song Of Simplicity at the 2009/2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival. The movie it was featured in was absolutely epic. Alpine Speed Skiing was the title of the movie, and Bossenbroek's music complemented the movie so well. It gave me the chills ...

to address those who gave it only one star because it's not truly classical music; "Please stop needlessly insulting extremely talented musician's. Thank you." No, this is not classical, but it's still GREAT music. Elijah is an extremely talented pianist, but what truly sets him apart from other musicians in this genre is his immense passion for what he does. If you want to fully experience Elijah's passion for music, find a way to see him perform live. It's a very rewarding experience. I promise you won't be disappointed.

This is one of those albums that as you listen to it, you get goosebumps. I was thoroughly impressed by the emotion that Elijah Bossenbroek displays through his music. I bought both albums, and you should too!

this is not classical music. don't be tricked by the genre listed by i-tunes. this is cheap pop music arranged for a more western art music-conventional ensemble. quite frankly, if you're a true fan of classical music, this is NOT for you. for true contemporary classical piano composers, look for liebermann, muczynski, or corigliano, to a lesser extent.
  • Please stop calling this classical music.

It is not classical music. At best, it could be categorized as New Age meandering.

I recently learned about Elijah on the internet. My only question is why hasn't he hit it big yet? This CD was great and I'm looking forward to more.
