This album is exactly what I like in a album heart felt lyrics with a well written guitar part. This is also very simple in a way overproduction can wreck a good artist but this proved how simply amazing a voice paul simon has. Overall the best solo debut album I've heard in a while.

I am only 16, but this music is timeless to me. Justin Bieber can't even match the worst of Paul Simon (even though everything he's done is brilliant anyways). May this album be on the shelf of anyone who has ever even mentioned the words "music" or "masterpiece". Truly a must own. iTunes is overpriced for this album, though. I bought it for five bucks at Barnes and Noble. Get it. No questions asked.

This is just Paul Simon and his guitar. The music is unembellished. While later versions of many of these songs may be prettier, the performances on this album seem truer to the music, to the vision of its author when he wrote the songs.
