Carole King makes great music to this very day, but this album is really Carole at her peak. Yes, I know that would be a hard sell to die-hard fans of Tapestry, and I take nothing away from that landmark album, but the songs here are a bit more evolved and developed. I pick "Only Love is Real" as the album's top song, but there are a number of gems here. Enjoy.

Thoroughbred has some great Carole King tunes. Daughter Of Light is one of those great songs that brings optimism. High Out Of Time brings a sense of longing for old friends. Only Real Is Real, Ambrosia, There's A Space Between Us, Still Here Thinking Of You - oh heck, they are all great. Vocal harmonies by James Taylor and Crosby & Nash are great as well. If you are a fan of Carole's this will not disappoint.
