  • A Classic Supergroup Jam Session!

What a timeless masterpiece. And with only one review clearly an obscure one as well. These were the days of TRUE supergroups! Times when artists got together and stuck with what they did best. Nowadays if we're blessed with the likes of a supergroup they're usually making experimental gibberish that's too far out in left field it's unlistenable i.e. Fistful of Mercy (Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur, Dhani Harrison) or Monsters of Folk (Jim James of MMJ, Conor Oberst, M. Ward). Why artists don't get into a studio for a one off jam session album like this in todays music scene is beyond me but could one imagine the likes of John Mayer on Guitar, Chris Martin of Coldplay on the keys, and Ray LaMontagne on the vocals?????? Seriously that would be proper.

I came to this album via Dr. John and looking for funk. I bought "Sho Bout to Drive Me Wild" liked it so much I came back for more. The genre is blues but the music on this album is pretty funky.
