  • Classical ? How about 'New Age'?

When I first heard this music, it was on a radio show called 'Inner Visions'. Most of the music they played was called 'New Age'. Now I think it is considered as 'Ambient'. So what is 'Classical' about it? It is great music, just iTunes shluld list it in a different genre.

Schulze and Schrieve first worked together helping make Stomu Yamashta's "Go" project back in the 70s. This is one of the truly great team-ups in electronic music and should not be missed.

The main song Transfer Station Blue is just plain HAPPY. It makes me smile. I can picture them all playing and they're smiling. It's a very contagous song that invades your head for the rest of the day. Usually a bad thing, I like it. Very upbeat reminds me of early the Jeff Lober Group? Communique ia a master percussionist playing with electronic tools he didn't have growing up. Very Nice P.S. It's listed Catagory Classical - It is Not!

Every morning Amnesia would close the club with Communique/Transfer Station Blue which is one song. The sun had already risen at 6 and by 8 it was getting very hot outside. The song is still one of the most powerful, theatrical and beautiful ever recorded. Bravo Michael Shrieve.

While this album is a little dated, it still has a great sound not found in today’s electronic or so called new age music. I first herd this on a late night radio show back in the 80’s. What stood out was the drumming. Here is some of the best acoustic and electronic drumming to date. The rhythms are layered and deep. The first track is well worth the price of admission alone.
