I agree with these other fools for love. This album is,song for song, one of the top power pop heavyweights of all time. Sharp, cool, classic and very danceable and at $9.99 cheaper then when I bought the LP. Now play it for your progeny. Peace, y'all.

I had the great pleasure of seeing Rockpile at Harpo's in Detroit, MI, circa 1981. This was one of the best shows I ever attended. Moon Martin (Bad Case of Lovin' You) warmed up. Awesome. This record is spectacular. Buy it not only for the regular album, but for the four superb Everly Brothers covers that originally came on a bonus 45.

This album was highly anticipated by my brother and me based just on the history of Nick Lowe. There is not a clunker on this album. Play That Fast Thing, When I Write The Book and Heart are my faves. To add even more nostalgia, my brother and I got to see them live at The Paramount in Seattle on their one and only tour. Buy the whole album you won't be disappointed.

I bought the vinyl album (1981) when the music store was playing a track (I don't remember which one). I had never done that before and have never regretted it. Now I have the CD and burned it to itunes. Everybody (literally, and all ages too) who ever hears this music wants to hear more. This is the kind of music that just makes you feel good.
