I had the personal good fortune to work professionally with Ms Wilson on the short lived show Sinbad. She played the part of his mom on the show. I've always had a crush on her from the time I was 17, I'm now 65. I've not met one singer/actor with more class than this lady. She's a wonderful person and I feel fortunate to have enjoyed her in both roles. My personal favorite is her album with Cannonball Adderley but you can't go wrong with any of her works.

When I was in high school in the late 60s, a Philly station (WHAT?) had Nancy Wilson night every Wednesday. My best friend Donna Young turned me on to it and made it my business to tune in every week while doing my homework (and I was an honor's student ). She set the bar high and though I love many singers, I still consider her matchless! I learned of the Aurora Borealis from her...5 stars !!!!!

LOL!!! I had an incident with Ms. Wilson once. We were at the very small but legendary jazz club Blues Alley in DC. I went upstairs to use the bathroom. At the top of the stairs was her dressing room; the door was open. Ms. Wilson sat in a chair looking in the mirror, fully done if I may add. She saw my reflection as she added mascara to her lovely lashes. I smiled, she snarled! She then whirled around in her chair and literally slammed the door in my face. Again the space is so tight, I could not help but be in her quarters. You have to know the club to understand. I used the bathroom and returned to my front row seat DEFEATED!!! How could she be so unkind. I am such a big fan...She had to know that... Five minutes later Ms. Wilson, came down the stair case, the music playing LOVE FOR SALE, as she made her way through the dark club to the small stage she put her hand on my shoulder and squeezed. She motioned for the band to stop playing. She took the mic and she said, "My dear, please forgive my behavior, it was not intended for you." I hadn't realized that door crept open until i saw you in the mirror. A girl has to have some alone time." I was elated. And you are right...SHE IS THE SWEETEST WOMAN!!!!

I grew up listening to Nancy Wilson, whenever I heard her sing I thought how classy she sounded and must be. My dad lent me his cd and I loved it. Miss Wilson has nothing but class and you hear it in her music. I found this cd to be relaxing and most enjoyable, she sings of love and relationships the way it should be sung - with class, taste and finess. Some, if not most were originally released when I was a baby and they still hold there own now - some 40 yrs laters. Class is timeless and never goes out of style, neither does Miss Wilson.
