My mother used to order Ray Conniff through the mail order clearing house. This is the stuff I grew up with. This week, when I was looking for pre-show music for Noises Off, for whatever reason, that memory crept back. This is the stuff you parents would love. This is the stuff you grandparents would love. However, if you are looking for some good old Broadway covers, clench your teeth. Despite that classic well-played big-band style that comes through, what they do to Broadway classics is tired an uninspired. Great pre-show music for Noises Off, though.
