I think there’s some really beautiful and meaningful songs here (Sapphire, Camera, Freedom) and some fun pop songs (War Games, and like 6 other songs). So while k genuinely like the album, I have to dock a star because I bought the album on preorder and the exact same day the album is released a deluxe version comes out?!? What in the heck man?? Why would you do that to your fans? Let’s be better please.

I thought this album would be similar to subtract BUT it’s giving me a different vibe! I like it! Love how he’s experimenting with his voice on this one. And it’s fun!

My favorite albums are X and = and Play ranks among them in my opinion. Ed has fun songs on here but the ones that I’m replaying constantly- Slowly, Camera, In Other Words, Heaven and For Always- these are falling love. These are choosing to stay in love in spite of kids, obstacles life throws at you and working at it together. This is such a beautiful and fun album and it’s on repeat over here. ❤️
