Okay -- This is not your typical Halloween FX fare. It is not an overload of gruesome sound one after another, nor is it a story as told by sound effects.
It is a great hour's worth of ambience to supplement your haunt, front yard Halloween display, or storytelling while something else takes front stage. In other words, it wont overshadow the main event of whatever spooking you need to do, but will add the appropriate sense of fear and foreboding in your guests/victims.

Not what I expected

This cd is good, but not what I expected. I guess there's certain settings where I can see it being appropriate, but it went 9 minutes in before I heard anything of note. I had to crank up my volume just to see if it was really playing. A bit disappointing.

We have been looking for a great Halloween soundtrack and this is it! My daughter loves it! This cd is truly terrifying especially when you allow your imagination to work with the sounds. It will most definitely be used for the trick or treaters coming to house this Halloween. Happy Haunting!

This cd is pretty creepy to the point of nobody knows. Who knows what lurks behind the thick fog and weird looking trees. These sounds can make it so creepy for the neighborhood children they won't even come to your door. I know this because my parents play this one and I have watched it happen many times. Just to let you know we get over 1,000 people at my parents place and see alot of them turn back because of this cd. Sometimes we have to turn it off if we see younger kids coming to the door.

If you just want a bunch of white noise buy this album. I guess you can't say it was false advertising, but I expected more for $9.99
