Solid album

I didn’t have much hopes for this album after hearing the first single “Darkness always wins” then they followed up with “Everest” which is pretty good but this is not the Halestorm we know and love. Was skeptical when they chose Dave Cobb to produce the record as he is known for more pop and country acts. But after listening to the record more I have to say this album has grown on me and aside from a few songs that are unlistenable. Not too bad.

I don’t know if all the reviewers really listened to this album. I personally haven’t stopped since it dropped. Original lyrics, tight band and they are rocking it, hard. Hence, the category Hard Rock, under which it has been placed. For myself, one of the best Hard Rock albums released so far this year. Bring the Storm!
Work on vocals!

Lzzy has one vocal style & thats scream! Even her attempt at a slower passed song just doesn’t work! She really need to reinvent her vocal style! Musically, the album sounds good!
Strong Lzzy vocals but very weak set of songs.

After hearing the prerelease of Darkness Always Wins I was very excited for the new Halestorm Album. Unfortunately this album is a huge disappointment, the songs sound like they were put together quickly just to put out an album. Some of the songs seem choppy with no flow or direction. This collection falls way short of coming anywhere close to what you would expect from Halestrom.

From the start this album felt different but true to form Lzzy, Joe, AreJay and Josh have delivered another killer album. From Darkness Always Wins to WATCH OUT and Like a Woman Can this album kicks you right where it counts.
I can’t stop listening!!!!

I been a hardcore fan for many years now and I have to say this is Halestorm best album yet. Lzzy’s vocals are hypnotic and the lyrics are amazing. I just saw them live for the 3rd time and they payed a lot of this album and I was blown away. I just love how versatile they are, specially Lzzy, she can sing whatever, any style she wants and she is just superb at it and I like that a lot, Halestorm is so unique and this album is just perfect.
Sixth Album Slump

Huge Halestorm fan for decades, and own all their albums, along with the covers, and reimagined. Seen the band several times.
This album though is a miss for me. Feels like the band went into the studio because they had to, not because they wanted. The way previous albums brought forth a common theme and marked a sort of era for the band is gone here, and it’s jarring. The songs don’t bring forth Halestorm’s quintessential energy, instead relying on loud for loud’s sake, or falling into the soft ballad arena too much.
Compared to the band’s iconic and enduring singles from previous albums, it’s difficult to see this album producing anything similar.
Here’s to a stronger showing with album seven in the future, because this is relegated to the back of my catalog.

It has been over 3 years since I was disappointed by their last studio album, 'Back From the Dead'. Well, am I glad I didn't preorder this - it is garbage. Lzzy Hale can be a great singer, but this band would be better off if they had spent their time in the studio recording another covers album. Then, at least, the music would be written by bands who can actually write good songs.
Always Awesome!

They find a new way to draw you into listening to their journey which becomes yours in many ways. Lzzy is dynamite and the rest of the banks is too. Listening to their music and seeing them live keeps you in the journey. If you appreciate creative hard rocking music and a band putting everything out there in the music, you will appreciate this new music. If you don’t it is your loss. Thank you Halestrom for another great one!
They still making music?
