Watched the film, which was great, bought the soundtrack after checking it out a couple of times. It’s a mix of some mostly enjoyable songs and some not enjoyable songs, starts off solid and then dissipates into some very skipable tracks (i.e. Grandma Calls, Baja California, which I deleted from the album download). Highlights would have to be Lose My Mind, Don’t Let Me Drown, Bad As I used to Be, and Give Me Love. Tate McRae, Tiesto, and Madison Beer songs for the club. I expected to not see Zeppelin’s song knowing they’re very protective of their content, to even have “Whole Lotta Love” show up in a movie was a welcoming surprise and a major highlight. Overall, the vibe is upbeat with a mix of genres, emphasis is on modern pop dance and a few rock-oriented songs. 4 stars since it’s probably the best soundtrack with artists in how many years?
