This album is so nice. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel by any means, it’s some of Selena’s best work. I’m so glad she’s back in the industry. We missed her.

There will soon be a new album by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. Titled ‘I Said I Love You First’ releasing March 21st. Clearly this project portrays exploration in music with Selena providing melodies, through her nostalgic ‘whisper pop’ sound. Many also anticipate “Cowboy” a track on the album set to sound like fan favorite single ‘Fetish’ with dark pop/r&b synth. And of course some listeners were intrigued by a snippet titled “Talk”. Fans begin to question what’s to come. Selena and Benny’s recent single “Sunset Blvd” 👠🎥🥀tells the story of a dramatic/glamorized/sarcastic relationship in Hollywood. They feel very bare, exposed, “making you famous, everyone’s watching , ...they’re calling, the police”, sings Gomez on the chorus.💄🍒 video referencing ‘One From The Heart’ 1981 film. Directed by Petra Collins. Fans were quick to notice her ‘droplets era vocals’ in the bridge of the track. Ultimately a summer, relaxing dance pop song you will definitely want to hear on a drive to the beach. Overall, we have to consider that Selena Gomez has a universal tone that many come to love in the music world, such as recently the ‘Calm Down remix’ with Rema. We should look forward to their new album which is centered on the before, during and the future possibilities of their relationship.🖤 ‘I Said I Love You First’ will be available to buy and stream everywhere on March 21st.

An unbelievably cohesive body of music that varies in sound by track. Benny Blanco has brought a side of Selena Gomez to the surface that is honest and sultry, a series of deep cuts but reflects the reality of finding true love after a tumultuous young adulthood of heartbreak. Her best ever.
