Reviews

  • Really, his best...

I know he got his start in more trap, reggaeton club music... but this is music just feels more purposeful and consequential. And it's the music of a whole people. It's hard to find anything wrong with this album.
  • I love it!

Even if you’re not Mexican and you can understand the language it doesn’t matter just enjoy how good the beat is and imagine what the lyrics are.My mom got me into this because her boyfriend is Mexican and now we all listen to it together with my twin brother! Haters go listen to Taylor swift or something else trash instead.
  • Beautiful Tribute to Puerto Rico

Truthfully, I had never listened to Bad Bunny's music, merely because Raggaeton is not a genre I care for; perhaps because I am of the older generation, but the other day, in Instagram, a video of his popped up in my account, with the song "Turista". I instantly fell in love with its melody and nostalgia of a Puerto Rico of yesteryear. Felt this was a song my mother or grandparents could appreciate. I decided to give the album a try and purchased it. Sure, there are several songs which are explicit (vulgar words); however, I try to ignore this. Other than this one issue, I felt that each song was unique, providing a window into the varied musical styles of the Puerto Rican culture. This album has it all-Salsa, ballads, Bomba, Plena, and some Reggaeton, of course. Although I don't particularly care for Bad Bunny's singing voice, the rhythms and melodies of his songs in this collection were sublime, making this album, in my humble opinion, a masterpiece.

What an emotional album! Every song is so personal and hits in so many ways. A tribute to PR and all Hispanics. So happy to hear salsa coming back! Gracias Benito, verdaderamente te la comiste! ❤️🙌🏼

On replay. Connects me back to my native roots. Artistry in this is great. Love an album that tells a story. Especially pulling from history and applying it to the parallel of the present climate.
