This is Lumineers most mature and efficient album yet. From the first note to the last note, and every note and melody inbetween, all beautifully expressed and to the point. No fillers or wasted moments. The exquisite songwriting is deceptively sophisticated and classically simple; these song sound like they’ve always existed and you’ve heard them before, yet they feel fresh, warm and poignant. So much new music is stale and gray and fearful, but this album is a breath of fresh air, unafraid to explore the depth of musical notes paired with well delivered poetry masked as lyrics. Thank you Jeremiah and Wesley, for being vulnerable and thoughtful enough to bring to life this soul stirring work of sonic art.

They could have and should have done better. I mean, they’re the Lumineers, right? Too many sleepers. Should have named the album ‘Lullabies’.
