Weak

Not a fan of the new sound. Sounds way to much like Five Finger Death Punch and the world doesn’t need anymore of that band

These new singles are a bad look for Starset. I have been a huge fan of these guys since My Demons and Monster. Listen to Perfect Machine and ask yourself if Toksik or Brave New World are on level. In my opinion they are nowhere near and have overplayed screaming to account for a lack of depth. As for Toksik in particular, the subject matter is 5 years old. There are more relevant issues which I believe Starset addressed in their earlier music.
STARSET STILL HAS IT

I’ve been a fan for a couple years and I recently went to their concert (which was the best experience ever) and somehow I don’t even know how it’s possible but it sounded better.

Been following Starset since Transmissions and have all books! They are getting better and better! All three released tracks have been absolute bangers and angry, the album is going to take a shot at how the whole world is stuck in a world full mind control due to social media and AI! I can’t wait for the new album
Unexpectedly sick!

This song somehow retains the style of Starset through layered electronics, a catchy chorus & grit from Dustin, but it unexpectedly gives us a little more in the bridge (I’ll keep it spoiler free).
You can hear influences from Vessels, Divisions & Horizons altogether here PLUS a little more direction with Downplay, Dustin’s previous band.
The lyrics, though more straightforward than previous albums (& has been a theme in these latest singles), still fit the narrative of Starset with a heavy emphasis on “the end,” including this being the conclusion of the narrative.
Can’t wait to listen to this song with the album whenever it comes out! 🙂

Absolute banger as usual from Dustin, so stoked for the new album. Deep lyrics that I think more people need to hear.
