Honestly, imo, a return to form for Skillet. I agree most of their more recent albums have sounded the same, but this one, I think, has more of what made them popular. The song for their daughter almost made me cry the first time I listened to it. Keep up the good work y’all!

Revolution is a solid Skillet album. Technically, I would say it’s a step back from their previous album (Dominion), but only because I think that album is among Skillet’s all-time best. Revolution has an array of the band’s staple high energy mixed with a couple ballads to change things up. I think the heart of the album is the following trio of songs: Ash in the Wind, Fire Inside of Me, and Defector. I especially enjoy how Defector seems to serve as a response to Fire Inside of Me. Overall, I would give this album 4.25/5, but since iTunes doesn’t allow partial points I guess I’ll have to settle for 4/5.

Just more Christians acting like they're oppressed and fear-mongering about some imaginary war against their faith. The conservative dogwhistles littered throughout the lyrics here make my ears ring. Yeah, sure, it's all about protecting your family or whatever, uh huh. (Against what, exactly?)
The singles especially encapsulate the exceedingly wise and ever-resonating words of Sarah Palin: "Right-wingin', bitter clingin', proud clingers of our guns, our God, and our religion." Can you just throw in the towel on your music career already, Skillet?

I’ve been waiting for a new skillet song for a while and this song is awesome. Some people say that John cooper is complaining *cough madmetalR cough* That is not the case, he is saying that the whole world is messed up and he would rather be unpopular than change what he believes to fit in with everyone else. There’s nothing wrong with that expressing what you believe but it appears that if what you believe is not what every one els believes there is a problem with it. bottom line he’s saying what needs to be said. All the songs are great!!!

Absolutely love Skillet but the past two albums aren’t that good to me! Last awesome skillet album was Invincible my opinion
