Maybe it's not fair, but I just can't enjoy Van Morrison after his railing against science and medicine and the government during COVID. I knew he had a persecution complex about the record business from his endless songs about how he was done wrong...but seeing him turn crazy right wing conspiracy theories into verse just...ended it for me. I have every album he did...up until then. And lets be real. He's been doing these remakes of older songs for a while now. Not exactly essential. I fought the idea that maybe he was a jerk for a long time, but watching him complaint about doctors while people were dying just ended the magic.
