If you're gay and love, breathe, and exist for pop music -- do yourself a favor and buy this album; I guarantee this body of work will instantly become a staple in your music library. It's up there with Britney Spears' Blackout and Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, and dare I say -- is actually superior in every way. This record is, to put it simply, an incessant barrage of bops and entirely filler-free, no-skip album. EVERY SINGLE SONG on this 16 track-long-project has its own life, legacy, and lore behind it, and each plays part of a puzzle piece in the overarching legend of Hot City, an album that was originally written in 2014 and was to launch Bonnie into the pop superstardom she was destined for. I won't go into all the history behind how her flop label shelved it because it no longer matters. This is a story of unyielding awe-inspiring perseverance, dedication, and the journey of a strong independent woman taking control of her artistic career and sticking it to the corporate overloads. Bonnie McKee sets a new bar for pop albums going forward, and I honestly can't see most artists of today ever getting close to the masterpiece she unleashed on the world in the form of 'Hot City'.

Our girl is back and amazing as always. This album will be on repeat all summer.
