The best in modern jazz

I saw Bugge in Vancouver BC a few years ago. I played him often when I had my own radio show on KMHD. This record still stands up to my ears as classic. In person, I saw Bugge constantly peering out from behind his slew of keyboards to see if the audience was dancing enough to his liking. If we weren't, he'd add another layer of funky rhythms to the mix. This is turn-up-your-stereo, move-your-butt-to music that never grows old. Various world-class contributions from the likes of Joshua Redman, etc. Bugge's New Conception is the hippest, most enjoyable stuff there is in forward-thinking jazz.
