I bought this on cd, and boy was it worth the money! My favorite song was “Rather be a Fool”. D is one of the best albums in my collection. I definitely recommend it for the music. I do wish Hall & Oates were still together but Oates screwed Hall. So, that’s out of the question. But do yourself a favor and listen to this.

I hear so many influences in this album from classic Hall and Sarah Smile to Burt Bachrach and Motown.
The album is stellar. Rather Be A Fool is just one example of an infectious song on this album that I immediately became hooked on and began looping. The album has a good deal of variety but with a common vibe of deep soulful music. A great release from an unmatched artist.

Daryl has realeased another soulful groove fest recording. It's the best of what he can do without trying. It's deep and personal. The bass grooves are ear worm worthy. This collaboration with Dave Stewart makes sense in every way. Melodic and rhythmic. Amen.

This album wasn’t necessary. It didn’t have a message or even a catchy pop tune. Daryl could’ve used his influence to update the production or have some featured guests. Also his voice could’ve used some enhancements. I’m a big fan of Hall & Oates but not this.
