I don’t know that this is jazz but it’s definitely a good album! I’ve enjoyed listening to it. It’s amazing how much Willow’s music and voice has changed. Keep making music, you have great talent.

I’m absolutely here for the William Faulkner stream of consciousness, Nina Simone ingenuity, Fairy Folk Forest creature, raw realness of this album. I love everything about it. It sends me there and brings me back gently with a kiss on the forehead. What an unexpected and enjoyable experience it was to find.

Willow is an every evolving multitalented musician and songwriter, changing her approach sonically nearly every album. She had an undeniable resurgence in the 2020s with her more rock and alternative pop punk sound in 2021 with lately i feel everything, and most recently coping mechanisms. Willow keeps that alt rock flare and intertwines jazz, funk, soul, singer-songerwriter, using techniques such as scatting and playing with her voice in so many unique ways, there’s no denying the experimentation that Willow has done on this album. I love it and and I love the direction such a focused project. Favorites are fear is not real, false self, run, between i and she, b i g f e e l i n g s, although I often just put it on and it run through because of the length but I do prefer to listen like this.

A very interesting album!! I actually like it!! Willow is really good. I think she should strengthen her vocals, but there are some gems in this album. It’s got a Alternative Jazz type of vibe. 😊💜

I can’t believe people actually took the time to post hate comments because of who she is not not necessarily the music. I’m completely loving this Willow era she’s in right now. Her vocal range is amazing and she’s finally finding what she’s likes and who she wants to be musically. Even if you don’t like her music the talent is undeniable. This is experimental, new age with a hint of jazzy undertones. I’m here for it, it really showcases her vocals.
  • We should have a little bit more rock

My favorite song of yours is wait a minute if you can do a whole album like that that be insane. I like jazz just not that much. But you do you but I’m happy I don’t buy it. I pay Apple Music

She moves into Vanessa Carlton, Nora Jones territory. A bit eclectic abit jazzy abit free flowing soul abit soft smooth rock of the early 90's its quite all over and represents an artist testing what all she can do. Many artist get smoked for changing genre and then years later the very same people come back and go OMG this is great! This is one of those albums.
  • This is ART (and yes, jazz).

I love when an artist just goes for it. Willow is doing her thing here, breaking boundaries and being afraid of creativity. She picked a genre, jazz, because you have to select a genre for these things, and the in the spirit of bravery and improvisation, this absolutely is jazz. The tension, the chords, the changing rhythms. This is how jazz works. But it's also genre bending, and that's how art works. Brava!
  • Bravo Willow, truly a gift you have

Truly a gift how you flow so melodically throughout the entire project, from unconventional melodies to the various rhythmic paces to the harmonies and the cadence and stylistic choices made in the vocal deliveries… Bravo Willow
