an excellent interpretation of disco covers, with originals too.

thirteen years awaiting and it’s a disco album — think retro realness 🫶🏼 a concept very different than we’re hearing on the charts rn. couldn’t be more impressed with an album like this from a legend.
accompanying music videos (“Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Call Me”) are “big budget” for an act like Cascada; this is Cascada’s 20th year of music (and she looks like she’s in her late 20s/early 30s) they’re really well put together!! ☺️
they also have a vinyl version which i already have. sounds EXCELLENT on vinyl!!
original songs on the album, “Murder”, “Playing for Keeps”, and “Studio 24” are among the first actually written by lead singer Natalie Horler herself, and the lyrics sound fabulous from her perspective.
overall, a fabulous new release from Cascada. favorite tracks are “Don’t Leave Me This Way”, “Call Me”, “Murder”, and “Ain’t Nobody”. i will say, this album is noticeably for-the-fans; Cascada & lead singer Natalie Horler are only trying to give a gift to their fans…and if they chart or make radioplay along the way, all the better.
