The music is completely destroyed by horrible production. The great drumming of Matt Cameron sounds so muffled, zero sound dynamics, no highs or lows separation. Very hard to zero in on each intrument as it sounds like you are listening to a band playing through woofer speaker only. I hope they RUN from this producer fast

This album could’ve been easily a top three album for the band hands-down if it wasn’t for the terrible mix in production. Why just why?

If you expect to hear another Ten, VS, Vitalogy you'll be disappointed. Also, for the Dave A. fanatics, you'll be disappointed. Those albums were 30 years ago, Dave A hasn't been with the band since 94. Matt has been with them since 98. The album itself is worth the purchase and listen. Here is my honest take......I don't think this album is reminiscent of No Code or Yield. It's reminds me more of Riot Act, Avocado era PJ; leaning more towards the Riot Act sound. I think the album is much better than their previous album, Gigaton, which was honestly difficult to listen to. It's also not as pop rock like their Backspacer or Lightning Bolt Albums. Other than 'Something Special', it's a solid album overall, with plenty of gems such as 'Scared of Fear','React, Respond','Waiting for Stevie',& 'Upper Hand'.

Anyone complaining about the recording is wild. Great sound . Upbeat. Finally writing some old school sounding stuff. Waiting for Stevie is a gem. Stop with this isn’t 10, VS or Vitalogy. They have great songs and albums after that. They aren’t 22 and mad. Be happy they are still writing good music. Band doesn’t need to prove themselves to anyone anymore. They are legends. Well done guys.

It’s been a while since my ears have perked up for a Pearl Jam album. This one rocks and feels like the guys are rejuvenated snd inspired again.
