I bought the album as I found myself repeating the song Contigo en la Distancia. The whole album is a beautifully arranged harmony of traditional Cuban sounds, the trio Los Panchos, and a sprinkle of Mariachi (Obsesión). She really goes old school without apology; but with refined and cristal clear sounds. She lays the mellow vocals and high notes just where they need to be. She is polishing her craft and clearly has more to come.

I love it so much Angela, i been waiting for a boleros álbum for so long and not only is it only the álbum but a movie in it!! Every song and the music is so wonderful but i completely recommend “Solamente una vez” it has my heart and it is so beautiful, my favorite from this album 🫶🏼

Beautiful song choices but something feels so off… the songs she picked are solid choices but because these songs have been remade so many times, she lacks adding something new and fresh to them.
