I’ve grown up with The Killers. I’ve listened to every song on every album more times than I’ve listened to any other music. I love them so much. Their music is a part of me, and my life and it’s become part of my person. These many songs that they’ve wrote and released over the years speak of the culture and class that their band has come to represent. It’s the many stories they’ve painted and the tales they’ve song. They’ve done such an amazing job it’s hard to imagine they’ve been around for 20 years. How their sound has grown from Mr. Brightside and Human to anthems like Caution and Quiet Town. They’ve covered it so well in 20 years, and they’ve never come short. They maintain their sound and image, they impress and they continually bring their best again and again. I believe this album is only the beginning of the continual magic we will see from The Killers in the next 20 years. After all these songs are only a small representation of the magic that is them.

There are a lot of great and obvious hits on this compilation. Enjoying “Spirit” so far and am so glad that “Be Still” isn’t just a bonus addition but fits smack dab in the heart of the album. Enjoying that all tracks received the Dolby Atmos treatment; I hope they’ll update the rest of the catalog. They picked the right 20 songs, and am glad “Jenny is a Friend of Mine” leads out, though it must have been hard to leave out “Smile Like You Mean It”, “Sam’s Town”, “For Reasons Unknown”, “Bones”, “Losing Touch”, “Here With Me”, “Miss Atomic Bomb”, “Shot at the Night”, “Run for Cover”, “Imploding the Mirage”, and maybe “The Getting By”. I’d love to hear a U2 Songs of Surrender rerecordings of some of the early hits as well. Maybe at 40 years.
