The first time I heard Dirt Cheap, I started crying. I love this song, and I can’t imagine what emotion it takes to make a song like this. I love Cody’s songs.

Amazing
Rawness Gone
3
By JB Owensboro
When artists sign with a label, it seems like the rawness goes away. Production quality increases, musicianship increases.. But you lose the rawness that really characterized the person who worked so hard to gain a following as an independent artist. I give it a 3. It will be hard to get back to what actually got him here. There are definitely trade offs with fame. Good for him, his band and new fans. Maybe not as good for the longtime fans.
His worst album to date

Been a Cody fan since he played hole in the walls in Texas and this is easily is worst release to date. The minute you have this nobody Jelly Roll as a guest you pretty much lose all credibility as an artist.

I have been a fan of Cody's for years, long before he signed to a major label. Anyway, this is his best album to date, no questions asked. Every song is great!

1 good dance song. This is a big step backwards. I like him because he plays cowboy music. Not the Nashville pop country. Hope he brings it on his next album.
Thank God for CoJo🙌
