The Secret Language of Trees - The 7th Bottle of Lighting

An artist is very lucky and considered successful when they make one really good album. A top artist these days generally have a couple and a handful of popular hits. What happens when you have a long legacy of albums that have two different music branches that push the envelope over and over again while maintaining some semblance of its music roots of genius?
You have BT, a prolific artist, technologist and arguably a wizard of sound and music.
The album from beginning to end wastes no moment to captivate you with a wide bevy of musical direction and sound design all while having familiar signatures of BT sprinkled across the whole record. It makes all of the songs feel connected. Even though this is considered the 7th Chapter of the Binary Universe Saga, I really feel like this one dives deep into the debut albums roots and grows its wings. It very quickly became one of my favorite albums BT has ever produced, and that is saying an awful lot when another all time favorite is from 13 years ago.
It would be a woeful task to rate his albums from best to worst, because I would never classify his music as “worse.” It somehow just keeps evolving and growing and getting better. I would say however, The Secret Language of Trees is far better than I expected, and I was convinced I’d already love it.
Thank you for your life’s work of music and all the dedication and authenticity you put into everything you do. It inspires me to do the very same with my life.
NM - A lifelong fan.
