I am excited to head the rest of the album. It’s hard to give a full review with only one song. Personally I like it and I know the ballads will steal the show.
Love the rest of the album.. Gods of War has new life!
Pleasantly surprised

When love & hate collide sounds amazing, like it was meant to be performed that way, while others are just ok (pour some sugar meh) but overall album is worth a listen if your in a chill mood.
Great choices to do this

I was pleasantly surprised they did gods of war, turn to dust, and bringing on the heartbreak with the switch 625 part. These are some great songs that didn’t get the mainstream air play that others did.
AMAZING!!!

If I didn’t know better, I might wonder if Def Leppard was making fun of themselves with this absurd release. How did this get past the “what if we…?” stage and what poor orchestra was desperate enough for money to sign on to this embarrassment?
Time to Retire Maybe?

This is not Def Leppard! A glint of what used to be maybe. I haven’t heard the real Def Leppard play since High ‘n’ Dry. I didn’t mind Pyromania or Hysteria, but they’ve gone so soft, THE LITTLE BLUE PILL couldn’t make them Rock Hard again.
I’ve gotten old right along with them, but my love for Hard Rock and Metal has not wained.
I was 16 when On Through The Night came out.
Totally amazed at these young UK Kids, our ages, kicking out hard rock we could bang our heads to. It never quite met the Heavy Metal threshold for me personally, but rocked heavy enough in the early years. I will not purchase this whole album, I may buy a couple songs that ring a little truer. I was curious about the reviews and it just confirmed the realizations and assumptions I and hundreds of other “Fans” are coming to. It’s a bad mix, over and under dubbed in places and in other songs, the original vibe is just lost in translation or interpretation. We are lucky enough to be in the music industry’s technological age which we can digitally preview songs and albums electronically to judge whether it is worthy of our collections. Used to be a gamble. You bought your Vinyl Record when it was released and hoped there was good music on it. There are enough die hard fans that will be infatuated with this release that it will get decent overall reviews. Just not likely from those who were rockin it in the late 80’s and early 90’s when the Ep, On Through The Night and High ‘n’ Dry came out.
I will never give up on them, I’ll always give a listen to what that release. But won’t buy it just for the sake of a Discography Collection.
Are they capable of producing Retro-Lepp?
Or will they just keep pandering to Muzak style productions, you’ll hear in your local supermarket while picking up eggs and milk.

New life for Classic Songs

Really just wanted to address Chinesemuchacho. This dork clearly has no idea how much new music Def Leppard has put out for decades to include a brand new album of all new music just last year. What a stupid comment to make.
Ummm...

This is Hysteria

Ignore the bad reviews. This absolutely does have re-done lyrics and is not just a bunch of old sound on top of smphony music. Some songs are way more creative than others, but this is an extremely well done symphony merge. Animal is outstanding and Hysteria was even better. Let go of the "this is a money grab" or "this isn't original" comments and appreciate some truly great music that is reimagined in a way that breathes new life into old songs.
