  • Different. But still good

Not their classic stuff. But still really cinematic and melodic. Still a good listen!
  • Good, not great

There’s only a few moments that have the musically emotional hook that make Yes, Yes. Recording, mixing, performance, chops are perfect. So what’s missing? The powerful, emotion stirring Melodie’s of songs like AYAI, CTTE, Turn of the Century. Glad for new Yes, but left wanting the secret sauce. Come on, guys. You know what I mean.

Love every sample. Would love to buy but too expensive for my blood. Sorry Yes, I have to say no this time....

Absolutely terrible. Yes: either get back together with Jon or give it up! 50-year Yes Fan

I must be honest here. I have been the harshest critics of this version of Yes for years. The past few albums have been bland and totally uninspiring. This time they finally hit their mark. Complex overlaying of superb music combined with harmonies that have been missing from the past few discs. This album defines who this version is and how they sound. Solid bass lines dominate on tracks that harken back to the Squire days of past. Howe plays so many styles on this album to perfection and nearly brings me to tears its so beautiful. Keep it up guys. You have made me a believer again
  • ALL about da money!

Still a nauseating pantomime of YES. At least it sounds more like a Steve Howe album than the prancy-Styx like sound of the previous several albums.
  • YES to this fine sound!

Who would have thought that with so many former key players missing from this band today that this album could sound so good? Well written, well performed. Just like vintage Yes. Pick this up now!
  • Armchair Yes

One thing this new Yes album does not do is rock out. This is armchair Yes. It’s not horrible, just not that memorable and mellow. Great cover, though…

Any Yes is good Yes. Steve Howe did a wonderful job producing this album.

Wow, what an amazing surprise this was! Say what you will about the different eras of Yes, but this album has the current lineup in fine form. The title track is objectively excellent - fresh, but still with nods to the past. For the “never without Jon” crowd, well, this album isn’t for you - move along and let the rest of us enjoy it. I’ll admit, while I loved the title track instantly, a few of the songs didn’t strike me on first listen, but after two or three runs there are some serious earworms in here. In addition to the title track, Unknown Place is a welcome rocker, and of course the debut single, Cut From The Stars. My suggestion : put it on shuffle and listen a few times over a few days. I challenge you to say it’s not in your head. Also, definitely try the surround mix. More of this, please!
