It’s, fine I guess? I feel like if this were made in 2016 this would have skyrocketed along with the other musicians who wrote music inspired by Trumps appalling election to the Presidency.
That being said it’s fine for musicians to experiment go outside the box, but the ONLY songs that were good in my opinion were the last four they stood out so much better than the rest of the songs on here. “Judas” was such a good album, it sounded amazing and was lyrically interesting, it also felt like a nice build up after “Thornstar”. Then this comes out and it’s just, ehhhh.
Whatever, still supporting the band, love the LGBT+ representation, fantastic work overall. This is just not the album for me, and that’s fine.
