Talk about a forgettable album! There is nothing that catches yor ear or stands out on this...just dull, boring, uninspiring garbage. Hardwired was 10 X better than this cheeseball album. And whats up with that hokey album cover? Time to hang it up boys if you're gonna pump out garbage like this.

This album sound great!! There are some really good thrash tracks on this album. My Favorites are the title track, Shadows Follow, Lux Eterna, Room of Mirrors, Too Far Gone, and Chasing Light. I like this album better than hard wired although both albums sound very similar. Sure James does sound a bit Aged at times and there are a few songs that they probably could have left out like “Crown Of Barbed Wire” and “If Darkness had a son” but other that this album is really good. I think people are just upset because of the production which kind of makes it sound more like rock than metal. Meaning people want it to sound like their first 4 albums.
  • Best in many years.

This album has the fight, anger and reminiscent old school grit of old. If this came out before justice it would have been in stride.

  • Not Their Greatest Album, But A Solid One

This is probably Metallica’s most consistent album in a long time. I’d say Inamorata is actually the best song they’ve put out this century. But what keeps this album from being truly great for me is the lack of dynamics musically, as well as Kirk Hammett’s very underwhelming solo work. 72 Seasons had potential to be on the level of their earliest albums, because James Hetfield’s lyrics (most of them at least, still some rather corny ones here) and vocal performance are some of his best ever. But the music doesn’t always do justice to the emotional and personal nature of his lyrics, and Kirk’s aforementioned solos are either so generic or so unfitting that they honestly drag most of the songs down in my opinion. So overall, a pretty decent album. A lot of it won't blow you away, but it’s at least fun for the most part 7.5/10

Haven't really enjoyed anything after Death Magnet. Feels like they haven't matured. Maybe should branch out do some solo stuff. Try new things. I guess I'm moving on. Been a fan since Kill 'em all. Been fun.

Did Metallica hire Bob Rock back without my knowing it? After moving back towards their roots and putting out a couple solid albums they’ve returned to making the same type of lame garbage they were putting out in the 90’s. This release would have been more aptly named Load III.

Man… what has happened boys..?! Don’t get me wrong, I love everything and almost every song up to the black album, even load and reload were ok, but from death magnetic to now they just sound like a punk rock garage band, I just dont like this new stuff they’re realeasing. That’s just my two cents..

I’ve been a fan of Metallica for years, I listen to their music all the time. I’ve never heard a Metallica song I don’t like, and that’s not gonna change for a long time. I know most of their songs by heart, from Master Of Puppets to 72 Seasons. These guys are the best rockstars despite their age. I have 4 shirts, I went to the M72 concert at Blacksburg Virginia, I have the Beat Saber Metallica pack, I have the “Many Faces of Metallica” collection with some of the most fire covers I’ve ever heard (and I’m looking forward to collecting more Metallica CDs), and I’ll buy any merch from Metallica any day. People think I’m obsessed with Metallica, and they might be right. Rock on, y’all 🤘😝 -Yours truly, Deadly Synn
