Another excellent album from Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I currently attend a mega church and I really wish they would show the kind of respect and honor to the classic hymns as its clear MTC does. Elevating these timeless Hymns with such a high quality production is quite impressive. Sure beats Contemporary Christian music IMO which is over-saturated with egos and individualism.
  • After all these years, i still can't understand them

Should have read the reviews! These are only the first or first two verses of these hymns. So every time I listen to them I'm left hanging. How hard can it be to include the full hymm in digital format? The description should state prominently that these are only PARTIAL hymns.
  • Love the Choir, Poor Editing

I bought O God, Our Help In Ages Past. it cuts off about 3/4 of the first note. The choir is unbelievably good but I think this was edited quite poorly.

There are about 1800 religious denominations. Most of them do accept each other's beliefs. The only other thing that is as destructive as war is the intolerance of religion. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, with it's angelic gospel sounds, does away with these differences. When listening, one thinks only of the message heard. When observing an audience enthralled with this music, you cannot tell which listener is from which denomination. I suggest that we take the time to reflect on these sounds as often as possible.

I'm a member and all I have to say is that this does'nt belong in the Christian and Gospel section. It needs another section of its own. I'm only 11 and I have a testomony that this music is real. Its the real thing. It's uplifting and makes you happy. If you want to learn more, google "LDS" or "mormon" if the site is critical of us, then try another. i suggest that "LDS" would bring up better sites. :)

I did not know these were not the full songs. I wanted all verses to all the songs. This contains just a sample (one verse) from each song. The sound is great and the arrangements too.

  • Great music, poor recording

The sound quality was a little off. The music is great, but the organ just out shines their voices so you have to strain to hear them sing, or turn it up really loud. I still love my Mo Tab though!
