This is definately the best of the best of the master, Kitaro! My favorite album of his work. I just wish he would release the original album in its entire form. I am wearing out my two records of volumes 1 and 2 of silk roads!

If you love classic time period, novels and movies like I do, this album will enhance your imagination by 100 times. It doesn't matter if you love King Arthur, Lord of the Rings, Old-School Kung-Fu movies, or Japanese time period dramas. This collection encompasses the old times of east and west. A must for any "time traveler" or even someone just looking for a relaxing time to contemplate ones own thoughts. Brilliant!

To make this album, Kitaro went to China to see how people are living there.
He listened to every natural sound they make in their life and he created songs.
I can feel that he expresses differently into each song in this album.
This is one of the best Kitaro's albums that I have now.

i feel the remastered one has brighter sound.
i like this version too!!!
