Their Best Yet

This album is good I’m buying it again, despite having 2 of the vinyl for it and the CD.
I don’t want to make this review too personal, but I just have to say this album couldn’t have come out at a better time. Fever Dream deals with a lot of heavier topics, and I love how there’s always an underlying message of hope: reassurance that everything will be okay. If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety like I am, I’d definitely recommend listening to this album.
I don’t even know what to say about all the songs, just that I love them all. You can see how the band’s style has evolved throughout the years with Fever Dream; it builds on all of their previous albums and each song has unique elements from their different eras. Songs like No Love in LA and Broken showcase their newer style, and others like King of the Damned and Off With the Head remind me of Side A. Oblivion is one of my new favorite songs; you can really feel the emotion and heart put into it.
I really love the outro to Off With the Head. It’s a perfect way to end the album, and whenever I listen to it I feel a sense of peace and calm.
I could go on for a while, but I’m not so good with explaining my thoughts, so I just want to end this review by saying that I’m really proud of you guys. I’m so glad I found your music, it’s helped my through a lot of tough times since I started listening a few years ago. I’m really glad I was here for the release of this album. I can’t wait to see you in concert again someday! Thank you for working so hard for your fans, we love you!
Album of the Year!

First of all 5 stars is not enough. Palaye Royal were modest with how amazing this album is. Push play and let them take you on an adventure od sadness that leaves you crying to finishing off feeling hopeful and desire to persevere the crap that drags you to the dark. Lyrically is so incredibly well written, sonically, you will find yourself dancing to some as you wipe away tears from the lyrics and I love that. I’m notorious for smiling, laughing and dancing while a a complete mess inside. So that concept makes total sense to me. The harmonies and distorted guitars the hauntingly beautiful piano, Remingtons vocals from soft beauty to blood curdling screams to the features of Phem and LP….absolutely incredible. This band, in this generation absolutely does not get the credit they deserve. I encourage you to push play with some headphones and transcend to the Fever Dream World! You won’t regret it! Also make sure you listen straight through without skipping a second. Feel the intensity and vulnerability throughout the record and then float away into the hope they give with the Outro. Phenomenal album…exceeded my expectations…
Never want to wake up...

Palaye Royale has managed to outdo themselves with this release! I had high expections for this album from the singles released earlier this year, yet it has managed to not just exceed those expectations but blow so far past them that they're just dust in the rear-view mirror!
With a sound I can only describe as old-school rock fused with quirky pop and a heaping dose of punk attitude, there's just not a bad song on the album. Thanks to the band’s amazing songwriting, the wide range of instrumentation used and the excellent production from Chris Greatti, this album is Grammy worthy!
Each song seems to build off the previous and takes the listener on a raw emotional journey through the Fever Dream that is the ethereal world of Palaye Royale. Follow Sebastian, Remington and Emerson into this Fever Dream, you'll never want to wake up!
Truly a work of art

A balance of the dark and the light in our lives crafted into this one body of work. I cannot fully describe the beauty of this album. Regardless if you’re a total Palaye fan or never heard of them, this is one of those albums that stick with you long after listening.
A True Work of Art and a Cathartic Experience

I had the celebration planned out as soon as the release date was revealed: Dress in my punkiest outfit, paint black crosses on my cheeks, buy a jar of Nutella, take out my sketchbooks and draw Renaissance inspired angels while the new Fever Dream album plays in the background. Remington's husky and emotional voice, combined with Sebastian's guitar solos and Emerson's drumbeat are at their best. The album takes me to a parallel universe that is a mirror image of own. From being falsely accused of crime, to having regrets about life, to a desire for immortality, the album paints a beautiful story of the human experience, both in ballads and in bangers, with messages that make us read between the lyrics and think about them afterward. The album is great for all activities, from working out to Wasted Sorrow, or falling asleep to Oblivian, to playing the whole thing on a road trip. Fever dream brings back the beauty of long songs, guitar solos, and self-expression that are a rare find today. A true work of art that comes not only from their minds but also from their hearts. As the word "art" is commonly defined, the album is an extremely cathartic experience to cry to and release all of your repressed emotions. If I could erase my memory to experience it for the first time again, I would.
Yin and Yang

Welcome to the voyage/journey we call “life”. Fever Dream is Yin and Yang. Without darkness, there is no light. Without pain, there is no pleasure. Without sadness, there is no happiness. Without death, there is no life. This masterpiece of an album embodies it all. Palaye Royale, producer Chris Greatti, and whomever else involved are creative geniuses. Being on the older side, this band has awakened a dormant spirit. Fever Dream is nostalgia, connection, six degrees of separation, and self reflection. It is singing, dancing, and being alive. (See these guys live and you will feel it!) To the younger generation: How incredibly lucky are you to be with Palaye Royale on this journey to become their authentic selves? May “Lifeless Stars” be an anthem to you for many years to follow. To the older generation: How lucky are we that we get to experience blowing out a knee or two or breaking a hip dancing (Joking? Not joking?) as we embark on a mid-life crisis together because this band writes lyrics that are wise beyond their years? I welcome every moment with open arms. Life is short. Let’s start crossing off those bucket list items. As a wise boy once wrote, “Sooner or later, we’re all gonna fade out, but not today.” (No, no…HELP! I feel a new tattoo coming on!)

What are you doing with your life? Stream Fever Dream and all your dreams and wishes will come true! (Not clickbait)
But seriously this album is just so beautifully done and these boys continue to go above and beyond both musically and for their fans. I’m so glad I am here to see this album finally be out in the world. <3
Personally my top favorites are Eternal Life, Punching bag (my beloved) King of the Damned and Off With The Head !!

This album has every element that a perfect album has. The feeling of the intro sets up a perfectly for the rest of the album. There is not a bad song on this album. I’ve never seen a band mix classical and rock elements the way palaye has on this record. This album made me feel a way music has never felt before. So thank you for creating this absolute beautiful masterpiece

If you listen to the entirety of Fever Dream you'll hear influences from influences from David Bowie, The Doors, The Ramones, Guns & Roses, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, MCR, and more. I find them interesting because their songs don't all sound the same, they are very experimental musically, but hearing those touchstone influences and strong vocal work (in that the vocals are front and center to the recordings) creates a through line that connects their work. Their talent, musical knowledge, and 11 years of commitment to their craft shines in this cohesive album. This gorgeous release sees this team of brothers come into their own, trusting each other and the music, taking them to new heights. Lots of melodic variety, truly inventive, inspirational, and deeply lyrical. Fever Dream will become a “classsic.”

Fever Dream is an album that shows Palaye Royale is not afraid to leave mainstream behind and forge their own path in the rock world.
