Refreshingly Fresh

I’ve been a big fan of Overdoz and Kent Jamz’s first solo album continues the experimental blend of hip-hop, alternative, and R&B styles. His hooks were always killer on the Overdoz tapes, and it’s fun to see him branch out with his own solo material with those same infectious blend of addicting melody and acrobatic rap flows. It works well and is far more creative than most of his contemporary’s work.
I’m also glad to see that he has kept producer collaborators such as members of production group THC and Like of Pac Div. This album is definitely worth your time and should be a must-listen for anyone who claims to be a fan of the new West Coast hip-hop/R&B scene.
