I was so floored to wake up and see that this dropped on my Birthday!
Apparently not a lot going on in my life. Doesn’t feel that way at all. I don’t really know how to “fan-girl” but I did do my best to say “thank you so much” by genuinely enjoying this amazing “Taylor’s Version” by Taylor, as much as I could stand, for at least a few hours on repeat. However! If anything, I did listen to it more than any other music I listened to, combined, that day. The original “This Love” was dreamy, this Taylor’s Version “This Love” is even dreamier. Definitely something I can get lost in when I’m in the mood.
What’s cool is if you multiply 13 by 5, it equals 65, in most of the world, my birthday would be the sixth day of the fifth month

This goes for more 1Runner who likes throwing political labels on people and has no idea what they are talking about but to judge someone. If you do your research you see she was screwed over and it goes beyond “she should’ve known what she was signing and etc.”. Big record companies take advantage of young artists all the time and you have to read the fine print. I’m not gonna lecture anyone who’s lazy to do their own research to see why she’s re-recording her own music that’s her’s to begin with. If you wanna be blind or ignorant and throw political rants and righteousness around then you need to look in the mirror and see what your own life has before miscasting on others that are doing their own dream and wanting the rights back to their own works. It’s a sticking it to the man (big record company) scenario that’s a win in the music industry honestly.

No artist can go back and recreate something they created when they were a youth and have that creation hold a candle to the original creation. Can't be done - not with integrity and not when this effort is so clearly PRIDE motivated. So what if somebody owns your old masters? Should have bought those - in their timely, perfect state - rather than giving this guy the finger by re recording. CLEARLY she's not 'shaking anything off
but bitterly moves forward.
