This remix album, in my opinion, defines an era when the dance clubs were a temple of new sounds, electronic acrobatic vibes, vocalizations with New Age references, and above all, lyrics with a clear sense of romance and social protest. Amber nailed by composing her songs appealing to sensuality, romanticism, society, fantasy with an excellent sense of poetry in each of her songs. Tracks like Above the clouds, Sexual (Li,da,di), Color of love are vehicles to the pleasure of listening a sweet, sensual voice, with good taste. Nor can emblems like This is your night and One more night be missing, whose remixes by Junior Vazquez, Mousse T and Hani Num give it another listening perspective, improving the original track from the original source album. The remixes by Thunderpuss for Taste the tears are amazing.
Without leaving out, Love one another and the collaboration between Ultra Nate and Jocelyn Enriquez that transports to the soundtrack of the movie 54. This album should have seen the light a long time ago, but it definitely came at a time when Hip Hop and Trap have invaded the dance floors with an emphasis on explicit in their lyrics.
The launch of this magnificent project in these times (previously released on vinyl) was necessary, not only because of the nostalgia of an era, but also because of the hunger to listen music with meaning, well crafted and produced, with lyrics that connect with people, that can be identified, that live them, that they become dedications, or better yet, the soundtrack of our lives when it comes to love, heartbreak, sensuality, and shouting to the world that we are the same that there is no difference if you were born in Bethlehem, Amsterdam, Gambia or Vietnam.
Are you ready for dance? This is the album!
