Liza doesn't need fancy props or sets. She is all of these things. You give her a red outfit and she's ready. She is so genuine and it shows in her performances. Liza With A Z is one of the best concerts with the greatest performer. Thank you for the great selection of Liza that you have, but itunes needs to get more of her concerts, like Liza At Carnegie Hall or Liza in New Orleans. Or even the Liza and Goldie Hawn TV Special.

Saw the special on TV back then, bought the 8 track because I loved the music. Glad I could download it and turn it into a CD. Liza's energy is still great.

THANK GOODNESS FOR THE SONG LIZA WITH A "Z". My name is also liza and when someone reads my name they say hi Lisa or Leeza. I mean how hard is it to read. Finnaly someone with the same name as me, and can tell people it's not Lisa or leeza it's LIZA!

I recently saw Liza Minnelli at the Luxor theatre in Las Vegas. It was aparent that she was not in her best "voice" that evening, but the energy in the room was undeniable. There's a reason why she is considered a living legend- a title only a few can boast (Streisand, Bennet, etc.). This concert pushed the envelope and raised the bar. If you get the chance, dont "settle" for just this audio version of the show. To truly appreciate "Liza with a Z" you should see the commanding choreograhy of Bob Fossee-- best showcased in the numbers "Bye Bye Blackbird" and "I Gotcha". Madonna and Janet have certainly re-defined the power of live performance, but this special was years ahead of its time, and shows an artist in complete command of her craft and the stage. This special was filmed the year she won the Oscar for "Cabaret" (as examined in the DVD doc. "It was a very good year") so the audience was waiting for the songs from that film. Liza did not disapoint. While watching the DVD, it did appear as if she may have been lip-synching a few of the Cabaret songs, she most definitely sang the title song live and with her trademark enthusiasm. Liza deserves accolades for many career highlights, but, in my opinion, "Liza with a Z" is an intimate, entertaining example of what a true showman should do. She is captivating and heartbreaking in this performance and the music speaks for itself.
