I hope Climber starts releasing more music. I've been a huge fan since 2003 and they play some amazing music. Come on LP!

I discovered this band when someone told me about their website. Fortunatly for me they played all of these songs in a streaming format. For a week I enjoyed the music.
Climber is a great band in the same thread as Radiohead, with a piano like Coldplay. I am shocked that this band has not made it into the mainstream of music. Because, dispite it's underground feeling, they do have songs that are quite catchy and would do well over the airwaves. BUY THIS ALBUM. You won't be sorry.

The real magic of Climber shines through in their live performances. This EP is great, but they are jaw-droppingly amazing from the first beat when you see them live. If they ever come through your town, you better not miss them. They are every bit as good as any major band out there (Coldplay, Keane, etc.) but with a much more "indie" approach to their stylings. The EP is more electronic than their live show. I give the EP 4 stars but I give the live show 10 stars.
Great Independent Release

This is such great music to listen to when I want to hear something unique. It's soothing, but full of experimentation that captures my attention and keeps me wanting more. And it's nice to hear electronics that don't leave me feeling cold or uninterested with dull repetition. I hope they release more material soon!
Just Beautiful!!!

I love these guys, I suggest everyone give them a chance. Other reviewers have compared them to groups like Keane and Postal Service. They are correct, for such a small name these guys create such good music.
Excellent synth-pop

West coast-based Climber hit the right vein when they released their 2004 self-titled ep. Faithful to their roots, they've taken most of their time since then to playing at their local haunts while leaving us fans high and dry, waiting for more. Ranging from subdued ballads, such as I'm Here, to creepy guitar and synth driven numbers, like Shake the Ground, Climber has a pretty decent range of moods on this 6 track release.
Shrewd listeners can scour the internet to find a handful of other tracks by the band, but no real news on any official releases just yet.
Indie Synth at its Finest

I don't know anything about this band except that they write great songs. If you are a fan of synth-driven indie music, you will love this record. Any fan of The Postal Service, Air, The Album Leaf, Her Space Holiday, The Helio Sequence, Labradford, or Keane will like Climber. In fact, Climber is as good a record as any of these and better than many of them. Great lyrics and vocals...this is what the Album Leaf could be if they had a singer. Great stuff.
