Is this his best?No but from top to bottom I think it’s a really good album. Not to mention I was at this concert with Metallica and what a show that was.Has to be one of my favorite concerts ever. But if your a ozzy fan like me i would recommend this album. Its a little mainstream with a little glam but it still rocks.Do yourself a favor and download this bad boy.

Jake E. Lee was so underrated! So many good guitar riffs. An overall excellent album.

Ok so, a guitar Icon like RR was lost...Jake E. Lee hadte more than enough chops and abillity to step up and is flat out special on this record! HIs playing, eriting and tone on this LP are amazing. He should be praised and acknowledged WAY nore than he is for helping Ozzy's career stay on track. These songs are great and the album has a smooth expansive feel that no other Ozzy release does...that's all Jake. Sharon and Ozzy have done him dirty forever for not embracing his talent and contribution to the Ozzy legacy...

  • Two great songs on a horrible album

The Ultimate Sin is not a very good album, even Ozzy says this. The song The Ultimate Sin and Shot in the Dark are great songs, but they are plagued by horrible recording standards. Everything, especially the drums, are so over compressed that it sounds so lifeless. I do not know if this album has been remastered, but the iTunes version that I downloaded is just plain horrible. Maybe I am just spoiled by today's recording standards, but I am not very pleased with this album's sound quality. I downloaded this album to have Ozzy's forgotten songs, and they are forgotten for a reason. So many songs are just lacking in depth and meaning. Except for The Ultimate Sin and Shot in the Dark, the album sounds like a demo, not up to par with Ozzy's other catalog. There is a good reason of why Ozzy doesn't like this album, and the music and sound quality speaks for itself; very poor.
